This article represents the results on the determination of the different forms of phosphorus in waters of the urban wastewater treatment plant in Kavaje. Samples for the analysis were taken during three expeditions in different periods, respectively in June, July and September 2019. In order to get e clearer observation on the level of pollution, samples were collected before treatment, after treatment and in the wetland. Collection, storage and transport of samples was carried out in accordance with standard recommended methods. During this study, several forms of phosphorus, such as orthophosphates, total phosphorus, condensed phosphorus and organic phosphorus, were determined with contemporary standard methods recommended by APHA, DIN and EPA. For each analyzed parameter, the analytical performance of the method used was evaluated, including calibration curves and the accuracy of the methods. The obtained results were processed based on statistical methods and were compared with the allowed limits according to DCM No. 177, dated 31.03.2005 "On the permitted norms of liquid discharge and zoning criteria for receiving water environments" and EU Directive 91/271/EEC. Obtained results revealed that concentrations of the determined parameters in waters of the urban wastewater treatment plant in Kavaja, resulted to be high, exceeding the allowed limits, according to DCM "On the permitted norms of liquid discharges and zoning criteria of receiving water environments" and the EU Directive 91/271/EEC in all the analyzed samples, before treatment, after treatment or in the wetlands.
