Abstract

A novel planar monopole antenna with Ultra-Wideband characteristics is proposed. The antenna has a very wide bandwidth that easily covers the requirements
for Ultra Wideband applications. The radiation patterns results indicate that the proposed antenna has omnidirectional radiation pattern in the H-plane while it is directional in the E-plane which across a major portion of its bandwidth.
