Abstract

In this study, morphological, anatomical and ecological data about Turkish endemic Viola yildirimlii M.Dinç & Y. Bağcı, which
was introduced to the scientifi c world from Adana Aladağ National Park in 2003, were given. Anatomical and morphological
characteristics based on observation on the individuals belonging to the species, the cross sections of the root, stipule, peduncle,
petiole and leaf parts, and the surface sections of the leaves and the literature data were presented. For ecological investigations, the
chemical properties of the soil were analysed, and the accompanying species were given. Also, conservation status of the species
is proposed according to our observation on its population size and the distribution area.
